Course organisation
Elementary and intermediate levels
are designed for students who haven’t reached a sufficient level in French language to sit for the University diplomas.
Level A1
19 hours of courses per week
Writing, oral, grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, spelling, tutored projects and language laboratory
Level A2 : A2+, B1-
18 hours of courses per week
Writing, oral, grammar, spelling, civilization, phonetics, tutored projects and language laboratory
CERTIFICAT PRATIQUE DE LANGUE FRANCAISE - CPLF – B1
This course is shaped for students who have already reached an intermediate level and are able to express themselves in daily situations. The preparation to this diploma is focused on study of current language, written and oral. The courses, tutorials and practical work, are based on grammatical exercises , vocabulary, training of oral and written expression. Practice on documents and oral presentations complete the skill training.
The course is half-yearly: 19 hours of classes per week
⇒ language (10 hours)
⇒ modern French literature (2 hours)
⇒ general French civilization (2 hours)
⇒ 2 optional courses chosen among: presse & média, texte & image, Français commercial, Etude de la civilisation française par la chanson, (2 * 2 hours per week)
⇒ language laboratory (1 hour)
ADVANCED AND SUPERIOR LEVELS
DIPLOME D’ETUDES FRANCAISES – DEF – B2
The course is half-yearly (19 h per weeks during 11 weeks)
This course is shaped for students who have already a good knowledge of the French language. Study focuses on written and oral French: analysis and resume of documents, essay, composition and discussions, phonetic exercises.

DIPLOME APPROFONDI D’ETUDES FRANCAISES – DAEF – C1
19 h per week / 11 weeks
This course is identical to the DSEF diploma course, but comprises only one semester.
DIPLOME SUPERIEUR D’ETUDES FRANCAISES – DSEF – C1/2
19 h per week / 22 weeks
The course runs over 2 sessions and is shaped for students who have already a very good knowledge of French (students who study French at their home university).It’s a preparation course to specialised studies at university. Training to oral and written comprehension of complex documents. Oral and written expression: argumentation techniques, resumes, essays, composition, French civilisation.
Linguistic reinforcement in special fields: literature and culture, business French, cinema, communication and media.
This course prepares to studies at university in France.
